Build the biological foundation

BioCharge Carbon Boost is a New Zealand-made biological soil foundation treatment designed to help rebuild soil structure, support microbial activity, and improve nutrient efficiency. Charged biochar, fish hydrolysate, seaweed tonic, and molasses work together to support a stronger root-zone environment in pasture, horticulture, and cropping systems.

Product typeBiological soil foundation
Pack sizes200 L drums and 1,000 L IBCs
Programme90 L/ha per year
Coverage at 30 L/haApproximately 33 ha
Inside the formulation

Charged carbon, biological food, and plant support

  • Charged biochar provides stable carbon structure and habitat for beneficial microbes.
  • Fish hydrolysate supplies organic nitrogen and amino compounds for plant and soil biology.
  • Seaweed tonic supports microbial stimulation and root activity while adding naturally occurring micronutrients.
  • Molasses provides an accessible carbon source to help drive biological activity.

Because the biochar is already charged, Carbon Boost is designed to support soil function without the nutrient tie-up sometimes associated with applying raw carbon.

Why Carbon Boost

Key benefits

  • Helps rebuild soil structure and support microbial activity
  • Supports stronger root development and pasture recovery
  • Supports soil aggregation and moisture handling
  • Helps nutrients perform efficiently within the soil system
  • Supports more even performance across variable soils
  • Contains amino compounds, carbon sources, and naturally occurring trace elements
Where it fits

Ideal applications

  • Tired or compacted paddocks needing biological and structural support
  • Pasture recovery following stress
  • Autumn and spring biological soil programmes
  • Pasture, horticulture, orchard, and cropping systems
  • Commercial farms and lifestyle blocks
  • Programmes focused on nutrient efficiency and root-zone performance
Product label guidelines

Application programme — 90 L/ha per year

Option 1 — Three applicationsApply 30 litres per hectare on three occasions during the year, delivering a total of 90 litres per hectare. Timing between applications may vary with conditions and the farm programme.
Option 2 — Follow the cowsApply 10–15 litres per hectare after grazing, repeating across grazing rounds until each paddock has received its annual total of 90 litres per hectare. That’s nine applications at 10 L/ha, or six applications at 15 L/ha.
  • You add the water: mix at a minimum of one part Carbon Boost to two parts water before application.
  • A 1,000-litre IBC supplies approximately 33 hectares for one application at 30 L/ha, or 11 hectares for the full annual programme at 90 L/ha.
  • Apply as a soil or pasture spray through equipment suitable for biological liquids.
  • Apply when soil moisture is present and soils are biologically active.
  • Plan applications around your grazing rotation and suitable conditions.
  • Agitate thoroughly before and during application.
Important: Apply a total of 90 litres of Carbon Boost per hectare per year using either programme. All rates refer to Carbon Boost product, before adding water. Always read and follow the current BioCharge label, use appropriate PPE, confirm compatibility, and match the programme to soil conditions and qualified farm-specific advice.

Build the biological foundation

Put stable carbon and active biology back into the soil.

BioCharge Carbon Boost is a New Zealand-made biological soil foundation treatment designed to help rebuild soil structure, support microbial activity, and improve the way nutrients perform in pasture, horticulture, and cropping systems.

01 New Zealand made Produced for New Zealand pasture, horticulture, and cropping systems.
02 200 L drums and 1,000 L IBCs A practical bulk liquid format for commercial farm application.
03 Soil or pasture spray Apply through standard equipment suitable for biological liquids.
04 About 33 hectares A 1,000-litre IBC supplies approximately 33 hectares for one application at 30 L/ha, or 11 hectares for the full annual programme at 90 L/ha.
Inside the formulation

Charged carbon, biological food, and plant support.

Charged biochar, fish hydrolysate, seaweed tonic, and molasses combine stable habitat with accessible biological food. Because the biochar is already charged, the formulation is designed to support soil function without the nutrient tie-up associated with applying raw carbon.

01 Charged biocharProvides stable carbon structure and habitat for beneficial microbes while supporting aggregation and nutrient holding.
02 Fish hydrolysateSupplies organic nitrogen and amino compounds that help feed plant and soil biology.
03 Seaweed tonicSupports microbial stimulation and root activity while adding naturally occurring micronutrients.
04 MolassesProvides an accessible carbon source to help drive biological activity in the soil profile.
Why Carbon Boost

A stronger soil foundation for more consistent performance.

01

Soil structure

Helps rebuild aggregation and biological activity in tired or compacted soils.

02

Root-zone support

Supports stronger root development and pasture recovery after stress.

03

Moisture handling

Supports a better soil environment for water movement and retention.

04

Nutrient efficiency

Helps existing nutrients perform more efficiently through a stronger biological foundation.
