Keep the admin simple.
All on-farm research includes access to an easy-to-use app on your phone, tablet or PC. Use it to upload photos, actual application records and honest feedback as you go.
- Taking up the report? Sign up through Verdi’s New Client Form with your details and a farm map marking the Silara application area and the untreated area. Verdi cannot set up your farm without these.
- Then keep your updates together in the app. Record each actual application date and paddocks, add photos and share what you notice. Bio Charge passes the application records to Verdi for each participating farm.
- Simple consent. A tick box on Verdi’s form covers data sharing with Bio Charge. There is no separate farmer contract to sign.
The dedicated Bio Charge – Silara N30 form link is coming soon. Contact Hamish to get started. We are coordinating the form and app registration to avoid asking for the same details twice.

Two applications are ideal; one still gives us data. At 300 mL/ha per application, 200 L covers approximately 333 ha with two applications or 667 ha with one. Per-hectare prices above are for one application; two applications use twice the product per hectare. Application costs are excluded.

Existing Resilience farms’ research results are picked up at their next scheduled Verdi retest. If no retest is scheduled, the farmer pays for their own re-run. Bio Charge needs access to one post-application report to review outcomes, subject to the agreed consent and confidentiality requirements.

Agree the research before you start.
Confirm product quantity, application schedule and whether you want the report. Every research project is whole-farm. For the report, Verdi maps and monitors the whole property. The Silara application area is tracked as an intervention against its own history and the untreated rest of the farm.
If taking up Resilience, complete Verdi’s New Client Form with a farm map marking the application and untreated areas before setup. Leave at least 1 ha untreated with Silara.
Capture the practical details.
Follow the current label and agreed programme. Two applications are ideal; one still provides data. Record the actual date and paddocks of every application, rates, equipment, other products and relevant management changes. Planned start dates alone are not enough for the before-and-after comparison.
Keep the comparison area untreated with Silara. Enter your application records in the app; Bio Charge sends the actual dates and paddocks to Verdi for each farm.
Share photos and honest feedback.
Every research participant must share feedback, with or without a report. Tell us what you notice in the paddock, how easily Silara fitted your programme, what worked, what was awkward and what you would change.

Why the Resilience
Report is valuable.
See your farm’s response in context. The Resilience Report, powered by Verdi, combines available satellite history, weather and landscape information to help you understand pasture patterns across your farm.
- Know the starting point. Available historical records provide a reference for how your farm performed before the research.
- See where pasture holds up or struggles. Identify areas that recover slowly and where a closer look in the paddock may be useful.
- Put your observations in context. Review the agreed treated and untreated comparison alongside weather, landscape information and your app photos and notes.

The report tracks satellite-derived pasture patterns, not direct feed yield or soil biology. It supports on-farm research but cannot by itself prove Silara caused a change. Data sharing is subject to consent through Verdi’s New Client Form and Bio Charge’s confidentiality undertaking.

The standard report is prepared 12 months after the first application. A 6-month report can be agreed with Verdi where it suits the farmer and covers a summer.

A late-winter or spring start gives a late-summer or autumn report, capturing the dry period and providing the best seasonal test.

A summer start can still provide a usable 6-month report. Agree the timing with Verdi before you begin.
Stay with 12 months.
Outside the August–November window above, use 12 months for autumn or winter starts so the comparison includes a summer.

Optional herbage testing for plant-available silica can be arranged through Verdi’s Eurofins account. Sample both the treated and untreated areas at the start, then again when the report is run.
This helps assess whether silica is getting into the plant and, over time, contributes to a regional and national silica picture.
